Sketch Book

These are the sketches and rough drafts for the social share sign I did for The Portland Tap Alliance

Sometimes I miss working in different mediums, so I bust them out and take a little trip down memory lane. Charcoal is messy, and best done outside, especially if it’s sunny.

I did a few sketches for a coloring book for my friend’s son’s 3rd birthday.

The first picture in the coloring book was of himself in a hard hat!

I wanted to incorporate all of his interests: cats, and construction.

A friend of mine had a grad school marketing project that needed storyboard sketches. When she mentioned they involved cows, I was more than happy to help.

This sketch turned into an ink painting a few months later

While I was recovering, I had a lot of time on the couch. This coloring book got a lot of use. This sea horse was one of my favorites.

These are studies and sketches I did to design my tattoo. I also did a more detailed painting from the sketch, called “Sempre” meaning ‘forever’, because pets are forever in our hearts, even when they leave this earth.
